South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa to host car show
to benefit Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities

LAS VEGAS – Auto lovers of all kinds will be able to beat the heat, enjoy a fun event and help raise money for a great cause when the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa hosts a one-of-a-kind car and truck show next month.

The South Point Car & Truck Show presented by Star Nursery is set for Saturday, Aug. 18, at the South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa’s Exhibit Halls and will benefit the Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities. The event – which will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time – is open to cars, trucks, bikes, semi-trucks and an array of exotic vehicles, all housed in a climate-controlled environment in the friendly confines of the South Point.

Registration is still open for the event, which will bestow a variety of awards that include Best Club Participation, Children’s Choice, People’s Choice and South Point Choice. The registration fee is just $35, admission is free for spectators, and the South Point is offering participants a special room rate for the weekend as well.

“Our car show has been a very popular event in the past, and with the South Point and Star Nursery stepping up in a big way, we expect this year’s event to be our best yet,” SCC-Las Vegas Chapter Director Paulette Anderson said. “We are extremely excited about this year’s show, and the fact that it will be held indoors will be a huge bonus. It’s going to be a great day of free entertainment for the whole family and a wonderful opportunity to raise money for children in need.”

Vendor booths are also available to rent at the show, which will feature raffle prizes and fun activities for spectators. Registered participants may begin moving in their vehicles on Aug. 17 and will be entered in a special raffle as a reward for their involvement.

Anyone interested in registering for the event or finding more information can do so online or by contacting Paulette Anderson at 702-632-8242 or panderson@lvms.com.
